From photos to a finished ad
Step 1: Start a new ad. The first step asks for photos, which is all this needs — you do not have to type anything first.
Step 2: Add your photos as usual. Once at least one is in, a button appears under them offering to write the ad from those photos.
Step 3: Press it and wait a few seconds. It reads the photos and fills in the title, the description and, when it can tell, a suggested price. It writes in whichever language you are using the site in.
Step 4: Now read it properly. It only knows what the photos show, so it cannot know the mileage, the year, why you are selling, or whether anything is broken. Add those yourself — they are what buyers actually ask about.
Step 5: Fix the price before you post. The suggestion is a guess from a photo, not a valuation, and you are the one who knows what the item is worth.
What this cannot do
- It works from the photos and nothing else. It has no way of knowing the history of the item, so treat everything it writes about condition as a starting guess.
- It reads up to five photos per draft. Adding more does not make the draft better; clearer photos do.
- It is a draft, not a listing. Nothing is posted until you go through the rest of the steps and press the final button yourself.
Watch out for
- Do not post the draft unread. It occasionally describes the wrong thing entirely, especially if the first photo is a box, a screenshot or a logo rather than the item.
- Do not rely on the suggested price. Look at what similar items are actually listed for before you settle on a number.
- If the draft comes out vague, the photos are the reason. One clear, well-lit photo of the whole item gives a far better draft than five dark ones.
